One Thing Remains

This song is still resonating in my heart from the other Sunday’s praise and worship… One Thing, Remains… His Love.

We search the physical for what God already provides, His love and guidance. While we search for assurance in our relationships, jobs, family, friends, church, ministries… and beyond, we forget that He has already given us His grace each and every day. His mercy each and every day. Each day, we have a chance to get it right, and choose Him once more. Each day He gives us grace knowing that we are not perfect, but He loves us anyway. Each time we mess up, or fall off course, He is the only one that truly can see to our heart and understand our motives. He is the only one that is all seeing and all knowing.

You will never have to fear of losing Him, because He never gives up and He never runs out on us. And it teaches us that we shouldn’t put our trust in the physical all the time. Even though it is great to trust the people around us, we can’t trust them more to do God’s job better than God. We have to remain faithful in Him, and in Him alone. While everyone’s love physically is imperfect towards each other, His love only is the only constant and the truth. It never gives up. It always believes the good.

This is just encouraging me this morning, as it plays over and over in my heart, I am resting on God’s assurance and fact. Check out my other post on the breakdown of what true love is by biblical definition. The breakdown of passage 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8. Be blessed everyone.

Songs Lyrics (and let it speak to your heart):

“Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing… Remains

On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never, ever, have to be afraid
One thing remains

Your love never fails, never gives up
Never runs out on me

In death, In life, I’m confident and
covered by, the power of Your great love
My debt is paid, there’s nothing that
Can separate my heart from Your great love”
