I had to write this. It’s been so pressing on my heart about ‘through’.
I woke up this morning seeing a friend is experiencing great loss in this season of her life. And as I began to pray for her and her family, God began to speak very very clear to me.
He revealed to me someone is waiting on your through! He didn’t promise there will be no bad times. There will be grief, loss, heartbreak, failure, doubt, worry, stress, layoffs, termination, dry seasons.. there will be. THERE WILL BE. What is a promise is God, Himself. What is a promise is He is close to the brokenhearted. He is close to the crushed spirit. He is a comforter. He is a healer. He restores. He understands. He is with you. He is with you, through it. Through it, you will see His manifestation for your life. Through it, you can testify about healing. Through it, you can testify about restoration. Through it, you can testify how he kept you and favored you! It’s only experiencing ‘through’ we can really help to heal others. But too many of us want to stay in the hurt place, and never get to ‘through’, or even the manifestation. We want to stay hurt, blame God and continue to operate in the hurt place, everyday asking God ‘why me?’ But God is trying to build your testimony to someone else, probably someone that isn’t even born yet need to hear how you got through your ‘through”. How you got through your break up? Divorce? Loss? Sickness? Death? Job termination? It’s really never about us, it’s the up building of His kingdom, and if He has to use you in the process for someone else salvation, that is the price we pay for taking up the cross and following Him!
When we take up the cross and follow Him, then we no longer belong to ourselves. We no longer have ‘our ways’ because He is the master of our lives. He picks and chooses what he wants to do with our lives. Job 23:14. (I encourage everyone to click on the link and read all translations of this bible verse and get it in your heart!) God has already assigned us to go through certain things in our life, and there is nothing we can do about it. We can’t alter His plan! We can’t run from it. We can just go through it gracefully. The “all of a sudden where did this come from God ?” was already put in place and assigned by God for you. Think of God having a huge scroll for your life, and life events. Each day, he has a specific appointment for you. Look at it reading like this:
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF _______________
The ___th of January, you will be diagnosed with illness.
The ___th of February, you will meet your wife but you don’t see she is your wife yet.
The ___th of May, the doctor report will say it got worse.
The ___th of June you will have to go in for follow up.
The ___th of June she will introduce you to her family.
The ___st of December you will propose to her.
The ___th of February, doctor report gets better.
The ___nd of June you marry.
The ___th of July there is no trace of cancer in your body!
The ___nd of November her brother’s wife is diagnosed with illness.
The ___st of December you will have opportunity to witness to her about God and healing
You see how God sees our life? He has appointments for us. He has a plan in the pain! He has a purpose in the trial! What we go through is never a ‘loss’ but to gain a soul for Christ with the encouragement and what we learned from our ‘through’ is wonderful in God’s eyes!
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 TLB
What a wonderful God we have—he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
Never underestimate your ‘through’ moment. Never allow the enemy to prompt you to stay in the ‘hurt’ forever, because this doesn’t allow us to fully develop what we need to learn to fulfill God’s plan for our lives.
Be blessed and stay encouraged. Allow this song to wonderfully speak into your spirit this morning:
